Senior Accountant - Job Summary

We are currently looking for Senior Accountant for a contract role (4-5 months). In this role, you would ensure accurate revenue recognition and financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP. This role oversees complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and supports the month-end close process, while reviewing work from junior staff and partnering cross-functionally with Finance, FP&A, Sales, and external auditors.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and help manage the month-end close, including journal entries and audit-ready documentation
• Review account reconciliations, financial results, and variance analyses
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, including revenue recognition and expense classification
• Prepare audit schedules and act as a liaison with external auditors
• Assist with financial statements, budget, and forecasting activities
• Improve processes, maintain reconciliation standards, and drive efficiencies
• Lead and mentor junior accounting staff
• Collaborate cross-functionally and support ad hoc projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience (public or corporate)
• CPA preferred or in progress
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and intermediate Excel skills
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills

Pay

$50-$70 HR
